This morning was a repeat of yesterday’s breakfast: Chocolate cheesecake pudding with cinnamon, GoLean Crunch, a frozen banana, and peanut butter!
Standard and delicious.
I considered making today an off-day, since I didn’t have anything planned in particular, and didn’t feel like going for a long run. However, around 3 pm, my productivity was starting to dwindle (#times on Facebook/hour x #of blogs visited procrastinating = unproductivity level), so I decided to head out for a run. I had been avoiding going outside for a run, since I didn’t want to face the heat and humidity, but to my surprise it wasn’t that bad!
I ended up covering just over 7km, and was really glad I didn’t go any further. My calves started to feel tight towards the end! (Thanks to Barre, most likely). Despite the tight calves, my run ended on a pretty sweet note, since I ran into a Farmer’s market stand on the way home!
As a big-time blueberry lover, I was so happy to see farm fresh berries. I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to blueberries, since at home we have some good family friends who own a blueberry farm. We are able to get tons of fresh, large, organic blueberries that are much more flavourful than a lot of berries that are stocked in grocery stores. These ones were almost as good, and I had no trouble finishing them by the time I got home 🙂
After my run and a shower, I headed out to meet up with some friends in Center City! Some of my friends ordered drinks, and we also got some edamame to share. I didn’t get a drink, but tried a couple sips of my friends cocktails, and they were fantastic! They were super sweet and tasted like candy- so much so I don’t think I would have been able to finish an entire drink.
After drinks and appetizers, we walked around a bit in search of somewhere to grab some dinner. I’d heard great things about Chipotle in the past, and since it’s a pretty quick and healthy option, we decided to give it a go!
I ordered a chicken salad bowl with veggies, beans, and about 3 pounds of guacamole. I was (happily) shocked, because usually restaurants give you about a tablespoon of guacamole on the side, but I am pleased to say that Chipotle did not skimp on the good stuff!
It may be simply because of the massive guacamole portion I received, but I was overall pretty pleased with my salad bowl. I can see more Chipotle in my future! 🙂
